The full terms below say the same thing, in more detail.
When you buy a Rubato Audio product, you're purchasing a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software — not the software itself, and not the intellectual property behind it. The license is for a single user (you), and you may install and use the software on any computers you personally own or control. You're free to use Rubato software for both personal and commercial music: anything you make with it is yours to release, perform, and sell.
Please don't redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, lend, or otherwise share the software files or your license key. Don't repackage the software or present it as your own. The license is tied to you — it can't be transferred or sold on to someone else.
You own everything you create using Rubato Audio software. We claim no rights over your music or your projects. Rubato Audio retains all rights, title, and interest in the software itself.
Updates to the product you bought are free. That includes bug fixes, compatibility updates, refinements, and normal feature improvements, delivered through the same store and account you purchased from.
If we ever ship a major paid rewrite or a substantially new version as a separate product, that release may be a separate purchase. Existing owners will get a fair upgrade path. We also can't promise specific future features, or that any given product will be updated forever.
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, calculates and collects any applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax), issues your receipt, and delivers your download and license key. Lemon Squeezy's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your purchase.
If a product isn't right for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of your purchase and we'll issue a refund. (Refunds can also be requested directly through Lemon Squeezy.)
Rubato Audio software is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work hard to make our software reliable and well-behaved, but we can't guarantee it will be error-free or that it will suit every system or use case.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rubato Audio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the software. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question.
We collect as little as possible and never sell your personal information. Purchase information is handled by Lemon Squeezy; newsletter email is handled by Buttondown; contact form messages are handled by Web3Forms; and the website uses Cloudflare for hosting, security, and cookieless analytics. The details live in our privacy policy.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Rubato Audio software after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
